Positive Discipline in the Classroom®

Positive Discipline in the Classroom (based on the work of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs) could be called an “encouragement model” for classroom management. It is a program designed to teach young people to become responsible, respectful and resourceful members of their communities. Nelsen and Lott have been teaching and expanding on Positive Discipline since the early 70’s. Positive Discipline parent education classes are taught around the world, and Positive Discipline is successfully used as a classroom management model in private, religious, and public early childhood programs, elementary schools and middle and high schools.
